DA PUDDING PROJECT
One Man Hip-Hop Journey
Childhood - Fatherhood
"Hip Hop has provided me
a way to express myself, a way to document a popular culture that I love, and a way for me to share my story and what I stand on. My purpose is not to disrespect or cause harm to any person shown in this documentary. My wish is to shine a positive light on the culture and continue to inspire others who are just as passionate about the
Art of Hip Hop"
- Gary M. Shipman
DA PUDDING PROJECT
One Man Hip-Hop Journey
Childhood - Fatherhood
Hip Hop Docu-Series originates in Sunny, South Florida, and dates back 50 years; the origin of Hip Hop!
People often share their life
experiences. However, did they live that life?
That's usually questionable.
But we all know that...
"The Proof Is Always In Da Pudding"
Da Pudding Project consists of vintage content, such as Videos, Voicemails, and Pictures of "Back in the Day" - real and true Hip-Hop Experiences. Witness scenes from Miami South Beach (Memorial Day), Daytona Beach (Spring Bash), Atlanta (Freaknic), Baton Rouge (Bayou Classic), Cancun Mexico (Bally's Rockstar), Fort Lauderdale (Spring Break), New York City (Nas Concert), Tallahassee (FAMU Homecoming), and much more.
The Three-Part Docu-Series will start with Series II, then Series I, and finish with Series III.
Series I - "Dirty Red," "Baby Ship," "Shipwreck"
"Dirty Red" - was that little light-skinned kid who often went out to play with his neighborhood friends and returned home with dirt covering his entire body.
"Baby Ship" - was the youngest of six siblings simultaneously attending the same high school.
"Shipwreck" - was a FAMU football player and Kappa man who was not shy with the ladies.
Series II - "Shipwrecked"
Girls...Girls...Girls
After graduating from FAMU in 1997 and exiting Tallahassee, FL in 1990, "Shipwreck" returned to Sunny South Florida, where the
Hip-Hop Culture was in Full Effect.
At this point, he was out of control.
Series III - "Dead and Gone"
One moment, "Shipwreck" was totally out of control, and the next moment, while working in Miami,
he met this beautiful and graceful young lady, and within a few months, they married and started a family.
His Hip-Hop transition from "Childhood to Fatherhood" began.
